Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Dream Fund AI LLC ("Dreamfund," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website at dreamfund.ai, our waitlist at waitlist.dreamfund.ai, and any other Dreamfund services (collectively, the "Services"). Please read this policy carefully. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use our Services.
Information you provide:
- First name and email address when you join the waitlist or create an account
- Optional ZIP code for geographic eligibility purposes
- The referral code used to join, if any
- Tier progression and engagement events within the program
- Any communications you send to us
Information collected automatically:
- Technical signals used for fraud prevention: IP address, browser user agent, and signup timestamp
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns
- Device information: browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
We do not collect your phone number and we do not send SMS. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, or financial account credentials through our website.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve our Services, including the waitlist program
- Send you program communications, updates, and notifications
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud and abuse
- Generate anonymized and aggregated statistics (such as the public leaderboard)
- Communicate with you about product updates and your account
- Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human review.
3. How we share your information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use vendors who process data on our behalf under written data processing agreements. These include Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Clerk (authentication), and our hosting provider (Vercel). These vendors may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Public leaderboard: If you participate in the referral program, your first name and the first letter of your last name may appear on our public leaderboard. We never expose your email address, full last name, or ZIP code on public pages.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Dreamfund, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If Dreamfund is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Notice of Financial Incentive (California)
This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
Dreamfund operates a waitlist referral program. When you join the waitlist, you receive a referral link. When friends and family join through your link, your queue position advances and you unlock tier status (Dreamer, Believer, Champion, Founding Dreamer). Because your service level changes based on the personal information we collect from you and from people you refer, this program is a financial incentive under California law.
What you receive: Waitlist queue position and tier status only. There is no cash payment, gift card, mortgage discount, closing-cost credit, reduced interest rate, or any other monetary perk associated with this program.
Good-faith valuation: We calculate the value of the incentive based on our program operating costs divided by the number of active participants. As of the effective date, the per-participant value is less than one United States dollar. A full valuation is available on request at privacy@dreamfund.ai.
How to opt out: You may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you or by emailing privacy@dreamfund.ai. Opting out removes your account and referral credit but does not affect the waitlist status of anyone you referred.
Participation in this program does not limit any other right you have under California law.
5. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to delete: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to limit: Limit our use or disclosure of your sensitive personal information
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dreamfund.ai with your request and sufficient information for us to verify your identity. We respond within 45 days. In complex cases, we may extend our response time by an additional 45 days with notice.
If you are a California resident and we are unable to resolve your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us at privacy@dreamfund.ai with the subject line "Privacy Rights Appeal." You may also file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency.
6. Data retention
We retain your waitlist record for the life of the program plus seven years, consistent with fintech record-keeping requirements. Referral and engagement telemetry is retained for two years. Signup-attempt logs, including IP address, are retained for 90 days. If you request deletion of your data, we complete the deletion within 45 days unless a legal hold or fraud investigation exception applies.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls limiting which personnel and systems can access your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to security@dreamfund.ai.
8. Children
Dreamfund is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a minor, please contact us at privacy@dreamfund.ai.
9. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you are on our waitlist) and by updating the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
