Dreamfund Joins the Fintech Sandbox Data Access Residency

Dreamfund has been accepted into the Fintech Sandbox Data Access Residency.

Fintech Sandbox helps early-stage fintech companies build. Its Data Access Residency gives them access to enterprise financial data from more than forty data partners, free of charge, with no equity taken. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the program is selective, so we are genuinely pleased to be in it.

What it gives us

Access to datasets a company at our stage could not otherwise reach. Property and tax records. Parcel-level physical and climate risk. Verified income and employment. Bank account connectivity.

Those are exactly the ingredients of the question we care most about: how much can we tell a first-time buyer about a home before they commit to it, rather than after. A down payment is one number. What a specific house costs to own every month afterwards is another, and it is far harder to find out.

Over the residency we will be testing how much of that second number we can surface honestly and early.

A note on the name

"Sandbox" means something particular in financial services, so to be clear: this is not a regulatory sandbox. Fintech Sandbox is an independent organization, not a regulator. It does not supervise Dreamfund and has not endorsed or approved anything we do. The data is for development and testing, so nothing from the program runs in the product today.

Dreamfund is not a bank and does not hold customer funds. Upon launch, each customer's savings will be held in a deposit account opened in the customer's own name at an FDIC-member institution.
